- Initiative for Policy Dialogue (IPD) - Professor Stiglitz
founded the Initiative for Policy Dialogue (IPD) in July 2000 to help developing countries explore policy alternatives, and
enable wider civic participation in economic policymaking. IPD is a collaborative effort among nearly 200 top economists, political
scientists, policymakers, and civil society representatives from the developed and developing world, coordinated through
Columbia University.
