Welcome to
Columbia University Shotokan Karate Club
Our Club is a martial arts club located at Columbia University. Our club is affiliated with Shotokan Karate of America (SKA), the oldest karate organization in the United States, a non-profit, non-commercial, organization with more than 100 clubs around North America, as well as affiliates in thirteen countries overseas. Our goal is to practice shotokan karate as a martial art at its highest level. We are an official Club Sport of Columbia University. We Practice ALL YEAR ROUND!!!

The School

Teachers College

Lerner Hall is on Columbia University Campus, on the corner of Broadway & 115th St. (click above for directions).

The School is located in the new building on the SE corner of Broadway & 110th st. The entrance to the school is on 110th st. You MUST have your name listed in order to enter.

Teachers College is on 120th St., Between Broadway & Amsterdam (click above for directions). We practice in Horace Mann Building, 5th floor dance studio. The entrance to the building is locked, so you will have to use the main entrance to Teachers College, in the middle of the block, between Broadway and Amsterday Ave. You will have to present a picture ID at the security desk.

The Church is "Broadway Presbyterian Church" located at the north west corner of Broadway and 114th St. We practice at the gym in the basement. Please use the entrance on 114th St., the second door, at the end of the building. You will be buzzed in by security after indicating that you came for the karate practice.

We DO NOT offer classes for children.

We practice all year round.
